About the Milwaukee Student Planning Association

The Milwaukee Student Planning Association is a student organization for those interested in urban planning and urban-related issues. Our main objective is to provide networking opportunities for students pursuing careers in planning. We also promote the planning profession by sponsoring seminars, lectures, and tours related to contemporary urban issues in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and throughout the United States. We also throw some great parties.

Our membership is open to current and prospective students in any field, not just urban planning. Though our mission is to provide resources for planning students, we have recently broadened our scope to create educational opportunities for all, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the general public. We feel that opening our events broadly provides a community service and gives positive exposure to our profession.

Our funding comes from generous donations by planning-related professional companies as well as individuals. We also receive funds from the Student Association Committee at UWM. If you would like to help contribute to this organization, you can either join our membership or make a donation.
